Day 288! Today was another nice day off from work! I got the last of my to-dos done before I leave on Tuesday and I had a nice day enjoying the beautiful weather.
I woke up this morning to the light pouring into my room at 9am. Since I got most of my plans in order yesterday, I just had a few more to-dos to cross off today to be ready to go!
So after eating breakfast I got to the first one.

My first task of the day was figuring out my RSA (responsible service of alcohol training) for New South Whales.
Through my search I found out that I could actually do a bridging course instead of a full course! I was excited to find this out because that meant I didn’t have to do my awkward video recordings again.

It took a couple hours to complete, but it was very easy and straight forward. Just a lot of information and some simple multiple choice questions.
Even though I finished, I need to take my VIC certification and my bridging application certification into an in person facility in NSW to be approved. This will be a task for once I’m in Yamba.
After finishing up my RSA training, I started up on my next task, finding my hostel for my night in Sydney.
I did a bit of research and found a hostel for fairly cheap right next to the central station! Hopefully it is as good as the reviews say, but if not, I guess I’m only there for one night.

I hopped over to the kitchen to make myself some lunch. And after cooking up one of my famous quesadillas, I went to the park to read.

I struggled to put this book down! It was such a nice day out and the book was getting better and better.
I sat in the park for a couple hours before heading back to the hostel. The main reason I went back was to use the restroom, but since I was back, I sat down in the TV room and played some guitar.
I played for the next hour before heading to the outside area of my hostel to keep reading.

7pm rolled around and it was time for dinner. No one was really around the hostel for some reason, so I had the hostel kitchen to myself.
I cooked up the chicken I bought the other day, heated up some rice that I already had cooked, and chopped up some cucumber to have with my kilogram of hummus.

After dinner I checked my email and after sending an email to the hotel manager in Yamba earlier in the day, I received, what seems like, good news!

Hopefully this means there’s a good job waiting for me in this new town! Even though I’m nervous and apprehensive, this response has gotten me very excited for what’s to come!
I spent the rest of my night in the TV room watching miscellaneous shows with people in the hostel.
I have work tomorrow morning… finally… but that means it’s an early night for me, with an early wake up!
Two more days of laboring and then I’m hopefully off to a new job at a hotel!
