Day 63! Hoi An is just a great place to be spending time. The people are amazing at this hostel and relaxing has been a great change of pace. Today I finally got on another motorbike adventure back to Da Nang!
After another day of relaxing in the beach, it was time for a little adventure!
So after eating another wonderful breakfast of pancakes, fruit, and an egg Banh Mi, Alex, Helen, Immy, and I road into town for a coffee stop.

We also headed into town for Immy to grab her tailored clothing. Tailoring is one of Hoi An’s biggest draws and is a reason people come to Vietnam! I personally haven’t gotten anything tailored. But from my understanding it’s one of the cheapest places in the world to get custom clothing.
I just have no need to carry around a suit right now, hah!
With Alex and I riding and Immy and Helen sitting passenger, we took a 30 minute ride to Da Nang where we then went an additional 20 minutes to the peninsula I visited a few days earlier with Lea!
Instead of stopping at the lady Buddha this time, we continued past all the way to the end of the peninsula (or at least as far as the road would let us).

At the top of the peninsula there was a gorgeous view of the ocean below… but there were also a TON of monkeys.
These monkeys looked cute, but they were little trouble makers!
They were hopping all over our bikes, trying to find any sort of food they could find. They even ripped a sticker off my water bottle thinking it was a tasty treat!
Luckily it figured out it wasn’t yummy and dropped it on the ground. I retrieved it back so they wouldn’t try to eat it again and stuck it back on my water bottle.

We then set further down the road where we encountered a road block because of a landslide on the peninsula.
We were a bit disappointed we couldn’t go the whole way, because the hike we wanted to do was at the end of the road.
After deliberating a bit, we turned around and headed to the lady Buddha where I got to see some parts I didn’t see the first time I was there!

It was a HOT day, and the week is only getting hotter. So we weren’t in the best of moods being hot, tired, and hungry. So we ended our time at the lady Buddha short and went back into Da Nang city to grab a late lunch.

This lunch was incredible! For 220,000 Dong (split four ways, 55,000) we feasted on a ton of vegetarian dishes from spring rolls to dumplings to fake chicken rice!
We headed back to the hostel where I promptly took a power nap and woke up with a couple hours before sunset.
I grabbed the hostel guitar and walked to the beach where I sat and jammed by myself until the sun went behind the horizon!

Before the sun set though, a local came and sat right next to me to listen to me play! He sat with me for around 30 minutes and would randomly call friends and family to show off what he was up to and to let them listen to me play.
It was a cool experience, we couldn’t speak the same language. But he appreciated the music and we could communicate through that.
I then went back to the hostel where I got dinner, Cao Lau noodles with chicken, and played a game of chess with my friend Jack from England (now living in Australia when he’s not traveling). We also dove into a fun game of cards with a big group!

After dinner, I decided to have a couple drinks and head into town with a small group to have a little send off for our friend Immy (who’s leaving tomorrow).
While out and about I got a new dessert, which I’ve been eyeing for the past week!

It was a banana cooked inside rice with a coconut sauce on top! It was yummy, but not the best desert I’ve had while in Vietnam.
The streets of Hoi An were very quiet by the end of the night, which was very interesting to see since this town is usually super packed and hectic.

It was another great day here, but I’m starting to think about heading on with my journey! We’ll see when that is exactly since I have some to dos before that happens, but I’m definitely getting to a point where I’m ready to get back on the motorbike and move on to new adventures!
