Day 24! Another great day relaxing on the beach!
I woke up at 7:30am and decided to get my day started early!
So I set out to find a place to eat for breakfast!
Just a few doors down I found a small hole in the wall restaurant that was packed so I thought I’d check it out.

I actually ended up getting the same thing I had for dinner but it was insanely good still!
I also treated myself to a mango smoothie and in total spent 60,000 Dong on my meal!
I then set out to the beach where I sat under a palm tree for the entire morning!

I really enjoy just sitting on the beach! It really is my happy place.
I also started listening to an audio book which made it even more enjoyable!
The morning was a mix of cloudy and windy and also very sunny. The weather here can be very odd sometimes.

Eventually my friend Tom came and joined me!
This unfortunately is our last day together but I’m sure I’ll see him in the future! It’s been a blast getting to know him and to have a fun adventure together while in Vietnam!
We then met up with Jaro and went and got lunch at the same place I got breakfast. This time I got a beef pho.

After finishing up we headed back to the beach and while we were sitting there our 3 friends from Denmark showed up!

It was really nice having a little squad hanging out on the beach chatting and relaxing!
After all the hard work of relaxing, we all got hungry again and made our way to the Banh Mi stand that’s directly next to our hostel.

By this point I was due for a shower. So I said my “see you laters” to the danish girls since they were heading out today and made my way to get ready for the night.
I also picked up my laundry which I had done through the hostel and packed up for my drive tomorrow!

The hostel I’m staying at, Fuse Nha Trang, has free beer from 5:30pm to 6pm. So I went down to enjoy a few beers and to meet new travelers!
I ended up running into a group of 4 Canadian guys who I met earlier in the day who are all motorbiking across Vietnam together (unfortunately going the other direction).
We got to chatting and ended up going to dinner together, Tom came along too!

There’s actually a ton of Greek restaurants in Nha Trang so we went to a different one than the other day that was much better!
Matt, Seb, Ian, and Talon were from Vancouver Island and have been friends for quite some time! They all just finished college and decided to travel together before they started working!
Also Sophie, from Australia, joined us as well!
After a very nice dinner we wandered back to the hostel where the guys from Canada whipped out two decks of monopoly deal!

They had apparently been playing this game A TON and had made an extra card (a jail card) and new rules!
It’s been a long time since I’ve played this game, but it was a blast chatting, playing, and relaxing!
After finishing two games we said our goodbyes! The Canadians are heading south and so is Tom. There is a chance I’ll run into Sophie again in a week or two so we’ll see!
It’s always weird saying goodbye to new friends that you connect well with, but it’s the way of the road!
Tomorrow I plan on getting breakfast with Tom before we part ways and both go riding off to new destinations!
I’m very excited to continue my journey and head to Quy Nhon where I’ll get to keep enjoying the beach, just in a new area with new people!
