Your one stop shop for EVERYTHING I know and learned about Laos!

For solo travelers in SE Asia, Laos is well known… but for most, it’s a hidden gem of the area!

Laos is a stunning country. From the 4,000 islands in the south, to the chill towns of Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang in the north, Laos is a MUST see. For most of the country, there’s very modest houses surrounded by flat, dry fields. But as you continue to explore, you’ll see the winding Mekong Delta river, deep cultural villages on the Pakse loop, gorgeous mountain ranges around Thakhek, and picture perfect valleys in Nong Khiaw.

I rode my motorbike across the Vietnam border into Laos (yes it is possible)! It’s iconic dry, red dusty, pot hole filled roads are a trip to ride down and live up to everyone’s hype about how horrible they are. Did I still have a blast motorbiking across this country… HECK YEAH! Would I suggest motorbiking Laos… well, that’s a tough question, I’m glad I did it but I probably wouldn’t do it again.
