Day 350! A gloomy AND sunny day in the lovely small town of Yamba today. Not too much to report, but only 17 more days until I get my boot off!!
I woke up this morning to a very cloudy and drizzly day. So that meant another day hanging at home, relaxing until work!

I ate breakfast and then started my, now, usual routine of watching tv and reading. Not a bad combo, but definitely doesn’t make for the most entertaining blog posts.
I was running low on groceries, so I also took the time to schedule another delivery in two days!

This is such a convenient thing to have, especially now that I can’t ride my bike to the grocery store. But for how cheap it is… I don’t know if it’s worth it to keep riding out there. I guess it’ll have to depend on the day, we’ll see!
I didn’t have work until 4pm, so I played some guitar before having my late lunch of tuna sandwiches. I also was able to get a little nap in before leaving too!
Luckily by this point the rain had stopped. But the entire day it had been raining, then suddenly the clouds would part and the sun would come out, and the process would repeat. It never cleared up enough to go hang out outside without getting wet. Which, I would’ve done, if I didn’t have to worry about my moon boot being wet the rest of the day.
The weather though caused a pleasant surprise. While working, a huge rainbow appeared over the ocean! It was probably one of the thickest rainbows I’ve seen in a while, but unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to take a picture of it.
Work was fairly slow, but probably to be expected on a Tuesday night. I have a feeling closer to the holidays it will be busy down here every day of the week. Even though it was slow, I had a fun time hanging out with my coworkers and serving drinks to the people who were there!

I had a hamburger for dinner, which was okay… not the best one I’ve had from the hotel. It can pretty hit or miss here. Before I knew it though, we were cleaning the bar and closing up early! A few of us hung around to play pool and have a couple beers, which is always a nice part of the job. Once my boots off, I hopefully will be able to rally the troops to hang out outside of work at the beach!
Before we left though… we had an encounter with an unsightly critter (spider warning):

This was the first huntsman spider I’ve seen (not caught in a cup). And this is a small one! Some can get as big, if not bigger, than your hand! Welcome to Australia!!
This week will pretty much be like today. I work every night and will probably spend most mornings relaxing… work kind of messes up my sleep schedule. But it’s pretty perfect as I’m saving money for future adventures to come!
