Day 335! Another lowkey day here in Yamba! Not a whole ton to report, but my foot is getting better and I feel like I’m going to hear some good news from the doctor on Friday.
I woke up this morning feeling much better than the previous day. With this new energy, I got up before my alarm, got ready for my day, and made myself breakfast.

I had a couple hours before I had to go to work. So I cracked open Dune: Messiah and cranked out a few more chapters.
Honestly, this book is a bit more confusing than the last one… I’m hoping it picks up a little bit or it’ll be a long second half of the book.
My work shift today started at 11am and ran till 3pm. This time, my shift times were actually accurate! The shift itself wasn’t too bad, a slow trickle of people throughout the morning and lunch hours… but then the last hour of the shift was pretty dang slow.
But, I made it through and made my way back down the hill to enjoy the rest of my afternoon and evening.
It was a very hot day, so I relaxed in my bed propping my foot up. I snacked on a bowl of fries while working, so I ended up skipping over lunch and devoured more of the TV show I’m watching instead.
I also FaceTimed my parents! We spoke a little bit on Thanksgiving the other day, but I thought it’d be nice to have a longer chat with them!

I made some little strides with my foot today. I’m obviously taking it very slowly, but I was able to walk around on it a little bit in my house. I’m hoping this means I’ll hear some good news on Friday when I have my doctor’s appointment!
I also started looking at flights to the US and I think I might’ve found a winner… most of the cheap options are some crazy long travel days, so I’m not looking forward to that. But it’s to be expected since I’m on the opposite side of the world!
For dinner, I made myself some tuna wraps and ended up chatting with one of my roommates for a bit while we both ate. And then, it was time to jam!!
It’s been a bit since I’ve jammed with Paddy and his brother Sam. But we all went to the shed and had a solid 2.5 hour jam session.
I got home, took a shower, and it was time for bed!
I recognize there hasn’t been a lot of thrill or excitement since getting to Australia… life’s slowed down a lot since traveling every day and scuba diving. But this is all a part of traveling and every day life abroad! Once this boot is off, there will be plenty of more excitement to come… hopefully plenty more surfing too!
