A very chill day as a volunteer and hosting a successful beer pong tournament.

Day 154! I really didn’t get up to too much today… but I had some lovely conversations with the people about travel ideas /plans/etc. It was another good day at Taco Shack!

It was a bit of a rougher morning after a late night out. But I woke up at 9am and worked on my blog post that I neglected to do before going to bed.

I then watched a bit of The Last of us before heading to the lobby for breakfast and to start my day of socialization.

When I arrived, Kiki, one of the diving instructors, offered me half a muesli bowl, so I ate that. But I decided to still have a bigger breakfast, so I got myself fried vegetables with chicken and rice.

I spent the rest of the morning chatting with travelers, talking to people about diving and the dives they were going on today, and of course playing a ton of pool.

Eventually, lunchtime came around and I got myself a chicken quesadilla. It was a perfect meal to end my shift on (quesadillas are one of my favorite food).

My ears were feeling much better today, but still aggravated… so no beaching today for me. However, a friend of mine, Lucy, needed a ride to the immigration office. On my way back from dropping her off, I stopped by a pharmacy for ear drops and ibuprofen.

When I got back, it was time for some freelancing work!

I had a small video edit to do for my former employer. So I brought my laptop to the lobby and got hard to work.

I finished it in a few of hours and while I was working, my manager (whose birthday was the day before) walked over and gave me a small blizzard with brownie bits in it. It was a nice taste of home.

I then took my laptop back to my room and chilled in the AC for a bit. I wanted to watch more of The last of Us but it was buffering terribly in the dorm. So I went Back to the lobby to finish watching.

I finished the show and enjoyed a nice pad see ew, from the hostel.

I then played some more pool as the night progressed. At one random point, one of the Burmese guys brought me a nut salad that they eat a lot. It was very sweet of them!

Tonight’s activity started around 9pm and it was a beer pong tournament!

It wasn’t the most intense or crazy night. But the beer pong tournament was a great success! No team backed out too so it was the first one that ran seamlessly from start to finish.

In the end, two British girls won, but everyone that played really enjoyed it!

It was a fairly lowkey day today. Hopefully my ears will unclog soon. But my advance diving is coming up quick! Only 4 more days!
