Day 2!

I’ll be honest, it was a pretty slow start to the day. BUT even with this, it was still super lovely.

Since I stayed up so late I had to sleep in. So kinda got up at noon 😅 but since they shut off the AC in the rooms at 12 everyone was hanging in the lobby! A group of 20 of us were chatting, playing cards, and we even got the chess board out too!

Playing chess against a new friend from Israel! (He beat me every game haha)

After lounging around I decided I should go eat and I was told to go to a Pad Thai vendor around the corner. So I ventured off by myself and had one of the best Pad Thais I’ve ever had (and my first one in Thailand)!

I had already hit most of the touristy things I wanted to do, so I was enjoying just hanging out with people that I met the day before. So most of the things I did during the day involved eating 😂

We had a group go to a vegan restaurant and I got a vegan pad see ew (no where near as good as the Pad Thai from the vendor BUT it looks pretty)

I became really good friends with two people the day before, one is from Germany and the other is from England! They met through mutual friends while solo traveling and we ended up having a few beers and hanging out until dinner. And then we went to another Pad Thai vendor a couple blocks away!

Lola from England (on the left) and Helena from Germany (on the right). This Pad Thai was 40 Baht which is literally $1

After dinner we met back up with our hostel friends and then hit Khao San Road again! It wasn’t near as fun as the night before but it was still a blast! It ended up being another late night and a very wonderful one! This city is truly incredible and the people are too!

As I’m writing this I have checked out of my hostel. But luckily they allow you to still hang out and leave your bags in a safe place. I don’t leave until 8pm and I actually completely changed my plans.

Some of the guys I met the day before convinced me to go north to Chiang Mai! I’m a little sad I’ll be missing the full moon party but this is what this trip is all about!

Sorry for the late posts… but with late nights come late posts 😅

I’m excited for my last day in Bangkok!
