As I create this website I have 24 days till I officially board my first flight overseas to Thailand! I’m finally starting to make sure I have everything I need for the trip. I got the immunizations needed and the boosters, I bought a few last minute items on amazon to make packing and my life a little easier while I’m there (lightweight rain jacket, toiletry bag, etc.), and I’m FINALLY going to book my first hostel in Bangkok.

Now Bangkok is the only hostel I’m going to book as of now. Why? I’ve been given a lot of suggestions that I shouldn’t over plan. I have no clue who I’m going to meet or where I’ll want to go next on my journey. Since I’ll be solo traveling for 30 days I’ll have a list of things that I can do if I’m alone, but I’m really hoping I’ll meet people that are down to let me tag along or down to do those activities with me!

My current plan, as of now, is to stay in Bangkok for 2-3 days and then head south. Originally I was planning on heading north first and then south. However, the full moon party (a party of 30,000+ people on a small island) happens on August 3rd and I’d love to be at it! I’m hoping to find a crew that wants to head down there with me. But if I have to venture down there alone, I’m sure I’ll meet plenty of people to spend time with at the party.

My next post will be after I decide which hostel I want to stay at, updating you on my nerves/feelings, and a special pre-Thailand trip that I’m going to be going on!
